GSTC Member and Early Adopter, Jackson Hole, Selected as Finalist for National Geographic World Legacy Award

March 2017 - GSTC Member and GSTC Criteria Early Adopter, Riverwind Foundation's Jackson Hole & Yellowstone Sustainable Destination Program, is one of three finalists for the Destination Leadership category of the 2017 National Geographic World Legacy Awards. The awards were presented at ITB Berlin, the world’s leading travel trade show, on March 8, 2017.
"Teton County, Wyoming, also known as Jackson Hole and the southern half of Yellowstone, is very pleased to have been selected by the Global Sustainable Tourism Council to participate in its first Early Adopter Program for sustainable tourism destination criteria," says Riverwind Foundation Executive Director Timothy O’Donoghue.

The VI InterEcoForum will put its perspective in the study of Sustainable Tourism Development, as a synergy of the results of the Year of Tourism Spain-Russia, with the proclamation that the United Nations has made 2017 the International Year of Sustainable Tourism.
