GSTC STTP Akita Japan Feb 2017

The Asian Ecotourism Network (AEN), a GSTC Training Partner, in collaboration with Ecotourism Japan, hosted a GSTC training class from February 4-5, 2017, in conjunction with the 3rd Sustainable Tourism Forum in Senboku City, Akita, Japan (February 6-7, 2017).

Following the Forum, GSTC training participants participated in a local excursion, which highlighted culture and winter ecotours. The training was offered in both Japanese and English, with group of 20 participants.

The training class was hosted at Akita International University.

About Ecotourism Japan

Ecotourism Japan (EJ) is a non-profit organization working to establish a nationwide network of tour operators, researchers, and professionals, with the aim of revitalizing local communities through ecotourism. To promote ecotourism, EJ supports local communities and tour operators and disseminates information and tips on ecotourism, nature-based tours and conservation to encourage more people to learn about ecotourism. EJ hosts the Japan Office of AEN.
