SENACDecember 2016 – The Global Sustainable Tourism Council (GSTC) has partnered with The Senac University Center (National Service for Commercial Education) to offer a new online graduate program in innovation and entrepreneurship in sustainable tourism businesses in Brazil.

By working with Senac, GSTC ensures the principles incorporated in the GSTC standards are shared with the leaders of the future, ensuring professional education of sustainable tourism in Brazil.

“This is a most exciting development as we are stimulating professional and high quality sustainable tourism education across Brazil,” Says Dr. D’Arcy Dornan, GSTC Representative to Brazil. “This time we do it by working with SENAC, where we reach Brazilian entrepreneurs and innovators in sustainable tourism.”

The online graduate course requires students to complete 12 different and distinct modules, the GSTC course being one of them. There is also the option to take the GSTC online course separately as an extension course. Both options will open up the possibilities for Brazilians around the country to learn about and then implement the GSTC sustainable tourism criteria/standards in their operations/destinations.
