Since 1951 the Pacific Asia Travel Association (PATA) has led from the front as the leading voice and authority on travel and tourism in the Asia Pacific region. PATA is a membership association acting as a catalyst for the responsible development of the Asia Pacific travel and tourism industry. In partnership with PATA’s private and public sector members, we enhance the sustainable growth, value and quality of travel and tourism to, from and within the region.
Adventure Travel and Trade Association (ATTA)
The Adventure Travel and Trade Association (ATTA) is a global membership organization dedicated to unifying, connecting, professionalizing, promoting and responsibly growing the adventure travel market. Association members include tour operators, destination marketing organizations, tourism boards, specialty travel agents, guides, accommodations, media and service providers. Host of the annual Adventure Travel World Summit executive trade conferences, the Adventure Travel Trade Association also makes possible the traveler’s hub of physical, cultural and nature-based adventure travel and guide to trusted tour operators from around the globe.
The One Planet Network formed to implement the United Nations’ 10 Year Framework of Programmes on Sustainable Consumption and Production (10YFP STP). 10YFP STP is a partnership led by the World Tourism Organization (UNWTO) with a Multi-stakeholder Advisory Committee (MAC), consisting of governmental agencies, non-governmental organizations, private sector businesses, intergovernmental organizations as well as academia and UN agencies, is supporting the Lead and Co-Leads in their efforts to mainstream SCP in the tourism sector.
Tourism Declares a Climate Emergency
Tourism Declares supports tourism businesses, organisations and individuals in declaring a climate emergency and taking purposeful action to reduce their carbon emissions.
The Travel Foundation
The Travel Foundation brings together travel businesses, suppliers, community groups, governments, local authorities and more to develop practical solutions which maximise the benefits and minimise the negative impacts of tourism in destinations. To this end, the Travel Foundation works with those who plan and manage tourism in a way that ensures they can: identify, measure and manage the impacts of their tourism activities; embed sustainability into core policies, supporting frameworks and operational practices; and share the results of their work with their peers and competitors, inspiring change in others.
Sustainable Tourism Certification Alliance Africa
The Sustainable Tourism Certification Alliance Africa, formerly known as the Sustainable Tourism Network Southern Africa (STNSA), is an alliance of sustainable tourism certification stakeholders in Africa, with an initial focus on countries in southern and East Africa. The Alliance aims to enable an integrated approach to sustainable tourism certification throughout the continent.
Asian Ecotourism Network (AEN)
The Asian Ecotourism Network (AEN) provides more hands-on connections and relevant opportunities for members working together at a regional scale providing more networking and business opportunities, significant information, educational materials and networking prospects to both small and large organizations within Asia. AEN endorces the GSTC and its criteria for sustainability for travel providers, accommodations, destinations, and public authorities in Asia and beyond.
Impact Travel Alliance (ITA)
Impact Travel Alliance (ITA) is a large community for impact-focused travel professionals. Through education and advocacy around sustainable tourism, the organization aims to transform the travel industry into a force for good, and to help improve the world through business and leisure travel. ITA is an independent 501(c)3 nonprofit with a highly engaged and active global community with 30 local chapters in cities around the world.
TrainingAid is an international tourism e-learning company offering online training courses and skills development opportunities for tourism professionals. With the mission of investing in people’s potential to help build sustainable solutions for the travel and tourism industry, TrainingAid provides practical, flexible and accessible learning opportunities for professionals around the world. TrainingAid collaborates with tourism industry leaders and experts to develop and deliver online, on-demand and live training courses on key topic areas including business growth and development, marketing strategy, effective communications and storytelling, sustainability practices and supply chain management.
GSTC Training Partners
GSTC works with sustainable tourism training experts from around the world who serve as official GSTC Trainers of the GSTC Sustainable Tourism Training Program. With our global team of trainers, the GSTC delivers Sustainable Tourism Training classes in several languages in addition to English.
