Building on the Charter for Sustainable Tourism adopted at the first World Conference on Sustainable Tourism in 1995, Sustainable Tourism +20 addressed adaptation to the current world situation twenty years later.  Sustainable Tourism +20 was therefore the major event of 2015 to bring together the key actors in sustainable tourism in the search for a new drive to work towards its goals.  The important themes of the summit were Preserving Our Common Heritage, Tourism Supporting Biodiversity, Climate Change & Tourism, Redistributing Wealth and Looking for Peace, Partnerships for a Sustainable Future and Intelligent Visions and Innovation. Access the World Charter for Sustainable Tourism adopted at the conference here.
