Şişli Municipality is a local public authority that defines human rights and equality as a principle of services and addresses all residents with different cultural, religious, social, and economic backgrounds in an equal manner. Municipality established the “Social Equality Unit” in 2016 to guarantee and monitor providing these equal services for all parts of the society, especially for the disadvantaged groups including women, LGBTI, disabled, refugees, Roma, minorities, children, and the elderly. Apart from the social project perspective, Şişli provides classic public services for all inhabitants, such as parks and gardens, technical works, etc.
