サステイナブル・ツーリズム国際認証 GSTCトレーニング・島原半島フォーラム GSTC Sustainable Tourism Training (Nov 1-2, 2017), Sustainable Tourism International Forum (Nov 4-5, 2017) Language: Japanese Organized by: Asian Ecotourism Network (GSTC Training Partner), Ecotourism Japan / 特定非営利活動法人日本エコツーリズムセンター 今年は国連「開発のための持続可能な観光年」 今年2017年は、国連「開発のための持続可能な観光年」です。世界で観光産業が大きく成長し、国を越えて人とモノ、情報が動き交流が生まれ、日本においても訪日外国人旅行者数のさらなる増大が見込まれています。一方で、旅行者の集中や無計画な観光開発は、地域文化や自然環境への負荷が懸念され、地域の持続性を阻害する恐れも生じています。 サステイナブル・ツーリズムの国際認証制度 GSTC(Global Sustainable Tourism Council)は、サステイナブル・ツーリズムの国際基準として「観光地用」と「インダストリー用」の2種類を策定しています。GSTCは、この基準をもとに各地で認証制度を構築していくよう、普及を促してきました。日本エコツーリズムセンターは、地球環境基金の助成を受けて2014年度よりプロジェクトを立ち上げ、この基準の翻訳と研究、普及のためのセミナーとフォーラムを開催してきました。2014年奈良でのキックオフ後、紀伊田辺・熊野、2015年の尾瀬・片品、2016年の秋田仙北と、地域の皆さんとUNWTOや世界の関係者が集まるフォーラムです。 日本における「持続可能な観光地域づくり」の必要性 日本では、インバウンドの増大や地方創生としての取り組み、民泊の可能性の広がりなど、観光において新たな動きがあり、既に多すぎる観光客の訪問でそのゆがみが出ている観光地もあります。一方で、これまでの観光事業では継続性が危ぶまれ、観光客の減少が進む観光地も増えています。国全体でも、人口減少と高齢化の加速、地域産業の衰退など、地域の持続可能性を脅かす事態が進行しています。 私たちは、観光を人やモノが動くこととして解釈し、地域で外部からの滞在交流人口を増やすことで、地域の経済を潤し地域を元気にしていこうと取り組んできました。必要なことは、日本の農山漁村で人の動きが活性化されること、その地域の資源を多くの人が魅力と感じるものへと磨き上げ、その地域ならではの価値として高めていくことだと考えています。そして地域が今後も長く持続し、地域の自然をもとに培ってきた文化や暮らし方を、地域内外の皆さんと、ともに味わい共感し合うことだと捉えています。 4年目となるこのプロジェクトは、そこに世界が力を入れて取り組む「サステイナブル」の視点や基準を取り入れることを目指すものです。 【開催概要】 GSTCサステイナブル・ツーリズム国際認証トレーニングプログラム 日時:2017年11月1日(水)9:30~2日(木)17:00 会場:青雲荘  〒854-0621 小浜町雲仙500-1 主催:特定非営利活動法人日本エコツーリズムセンター 協力:一般社団法人島原半島観光連盟 参加費:22,000円(消費税込、食費・宿泊費別) 概要: GSTC公式トレーナーによるトレーニングプログラムで、国際認証制度の内容を理解し、事例をもとにどのように審査するかを学ぶ。修了者には日本エコツーリズムセンターから修了証を授与します。その後、GSTC公式のテスト(英文)を受けて合格するとGSTCの公式修了書が取得できます。 島原半島エクスカーション 日時:2017年11月3日(金) 旅行主催:島原鉄道株式会社 協力:特定非営利活動法人日本エコツーリズムセンター、一般社団法人島原半島観光連盟 参加費:5,000円(消費税込、食費・宿泊費別) 島原半島のサステイナブル・ツーリズムの現場を訪ねるエクスカーション。地元ならではポイントを、現地の案内により体験します。 [...]
