The ASCOTT Limited 2022 Sustainability Highlights ReportThe Sustainability Highlights Report 2022 exposes Ascott’s efforts to amplify its positive impact through its sustainability program Ascott CARES.

Ascott CARES aligns the company’s growth strategy with environmental, social and governance (ESG) considerations. CARES stands for Community (C), Alliance (A), Respect (R), Environment (E), and Supply chain (S).

In 2022, Ascott became a member of the Global Sustainable Tourism Council (GSTC), and Ascott Limited gained GSTC-Recognized status for its system adoption of the GSTC Industry Criteria. The stated scope and applicability of the GSTC Industry Criteria includes corporate offices, and all managed branded properties globally.

By 2028 Ascott wants 100% of its properties* to be certified to a recognized sustainability standard (e.g., GSTC or the equivalent)

Sustainability highlights 

Mitigating climate change is one of the greatest challenges of this century. Ascott aims to be part of the solution by actively responding to the global call for achieving Net Zero emissions by 2050, enhancing energy efficiency, and increasing the use of renewable energy across operations.

Switching to renewable energy before 2030 is one of Ascott’s priorities. Already, 100% of their properties in Belgium, Germany, and the United Kingdom procure green electricity. These initiatives resulted in a 12.6% reduction in energy intensity compared to the 2019 baseline year. 

Committed to sustainable growth and operations with a strong environmental focus, Ascott pledges to continue reducing carbon emissions and improving water and waste management performance in the coming years.
