GSTC Sustainable Tourism Course in Malaysia sponsored by Traveloka
The successful completion of the GSTC Sustainable Tourism Course in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, is an important milestone in the efforts towards promoting sustainable tourism practices in the region. The course, which ran from April 4-6, 2023, was sponsored by Traveloka, a leading travel and lifestyle platform.
The training was led by Nalendra Mochamad. He is an authorized GSTC trainer in Indonesia and Certified Professional Marketer (Asia) by Asia Marketing Federation. Graduated with a Master of International Sustainable Tourism Management from Monash University Australia, Nalendra has worked with various clients, partners, and DMOs both international and national including the State Secretariat for Economy Affairs (SECO) Switzerland, Pacific Asia Travel Association (PATA), and the Indonesian Ministry of Tourism and Creative Economy as sustainable tourism and marketing expert.
The 19 attendees of the course gained valuable knowledge from his expertise and insights into sustainable tourism practices, the GSTC Criteria, and best practices for sustainable tourism development.
Grand Dorsett Subang Hotel, where the course took place, presented its sustainable initiatives on the last day and the participants did a site tour/inspection to check such endeavors.
