PATA BUFFET (Building an Understanding For Food Excess in Tourism) State of the Industry Report
Every year around the globe, 1.3 billion tonnes of food is lost or wasted. That is one-third of all food produced for human consumption (FAO, 2019). There is a huge opportunity for the tourism and hospitality industry in the Asia Pacific region to take a bite out of this problem. This report by Pacific Asia Travel Association (PATA) aims to evaluate the opportunities for the industry and region to step up to the plate and do our part.
