Associacion de Hoteles de Turismo de la Republica Argentina (AHT)
Founded in February 1977, the AHT has steadily been working with professionalism, responsibility and efficiency towards the achievement of its goals. Nowadays, the association gathers the main hotels in Argentina, taking into account not only the capacity of their facilities but also their quality, and connecting through its activities those hotel establishments located in the most important national tourist centers. The Colombian Ministry of Trade, Industry and Tourism counts with the Vice Ministry of Tourism, which has a Direction for Quality and Sustainable Development of Tourism and a Direction for Sector Analysis and Promotion. The “Tourism Quality Certification” can be obtained through the implementation of norms that contain requirements to develop tourism in a sustainable way. These requirements take into account the economic, environmental and sociocultural variables associated with tourism and they exist for five tourism related services: hotels, restaurants, travel agencies, touristic transport and the MICE industry; and for two types of tourism destinations: traditional tourism destinations and touristic beaches.
