What is the format of the STTP Sustainable Business Travel Exam and what does it cover?

The STTP Sustainable Business Travel Exam is offered in an online and open-book format, and is designed to evaluate the training participant’s awareness and knowledge of the content covered in the Sustainable Business Travel course, and relevant examples and approaches to implementing sustainable business travel policies and best practices.

How do I gain access to the STTP Sustainable Business Travel Exam?

In order to earn the GSTC Certificate in Sustainable Business Travel, You will first need to complete the training requirement of the GSTC Sustainable Business Travel training course. Once you complete the course and receive a Certificate of Completion, you have the opportunity to take the STTP Sustainable Business Travel Exam.

Do I get to use the GSTC logo once I achieve GSTC Certification?

How much does it cost to become a GSTC Certified tour operator?

The costs vary. Most certification bodies include a one-time application fee, a recurring annual fees, and audit expenses. These may be based on annual turnover. Let certification bodies know that you supply RCL with tours, inquire with them to find out if they can offer any special pricing arrangements.

No. However, RCL strongly encourages its tour operators to adopt sustainability practices and to become GSTC Certified. For some or all of the tours I supply to RCL, I sub-contract with other tour operators who operate those tours. How do I become GSTC certified?

In order to be eligible to be called a RCL “sustainable” tour as of 2020, the tour operator that directly operates the tour must be GSTC Certified. What if I become certified by non-GSTC Certified between now and 2019? Can I be included in RCL’s sustainable tours marketing program through to 2019?
