The city of Seville (or Sevilla in Spanish) is the capital of the Spanish region and province of Andalusia and has about 700,000 inhabitants, making Seville the fourth largest city in Spain. Situated on the banks of the Guadalquivir River, Seville has a rich Moorish heritage, and it is the only Spanish city featuring an inland maritime port, which played an essential role in commerce between Spain and the Americas in the past. Rich in culture and history, Seville’s bustling Old Town is the largest in Spain and is home to outstanding monuments, among which are three magnificent UNESCO World Heritage Sites: the Palace of the Alcazar; the third-largest Cathedral in the world and the General Archive of the Indies.

Besides the grand monuments, the city is home to many local traditions, some of the most delicious tapas, authentic flamenco clubs and hosts celebrations like Feria de Abril and the Holy Week. Seville is a prominent business and service center in the south of Spain and has many hotels distributed all over the city which enable visitors to discover endless attractions. Museums and art centers, theme parks, cinemas, theatres and clubs are some of the many leisure options that a great city like Seville holds. The vibrant city of Seville offers a unique experience to all kinds of visitors.
